Hiram College Receives $2 Million Endowed Gift for Student Scholarships
The endowed funds, granted by an anonymous donor and earmarked for student scholarships, were given in honor of Galen J. Roush, a 1915 alumnus of Hiram College and founder of Roadway Express, formerly headquartered in Akron, Ohio. This is the second largest individual gift ever presented to Hiram College.
On Saturday, January 23 you are invited to join fellow alumni, friends, and family at Boston Mills Brandywine Ski Resort for a day of snow tubing. Last year's tubing Terriers made up the largest off-campus alumni event we've ever had. Trust us, this is an event you and your family won't want to miss.
Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back to the things most important to you, was December 1. This was a day to celebrate generosity, and we are sincerely grateful for the generous alumni and friends who helped us raise over $10,000 - a new record for Hiram on Giving Tuesday. Forgot to make your gift? Don't worry - there's still time before the end of the year.
Hiram College Offers $1,000 Scholarship Opportunity to Terrier-Lovers
Hiram recently announced the Terrier Scholarship: a one-time $1,000 scholarship awarded to five incoming Hiram students who have - or love - a terrier. Submissions should show what makes terriers special: how they are part of the family, a best friend, a fast-learner, and more. Submissions are due by December 31.
