Candidate for elected office

Posted By Marian S. Keegan, Wednesday, October 30, 2019
Updated: Wednesday, October 30, 2019

I am a candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 139 and will be on the ballot in 2020.  This will be an exciting year on the campaign trail.  I've had a full and satisfying career as a forester and a scientist, and am now willing to bring my skills to politics as an elected official serving the public interest and representing people.

A Note From Merose Hwang

Posted By Administration, Monday, August 19, 2019

Recent Hiram graduates, Robin Peshick ‘16, Alex Bryant, Sara Shearer ‘17, Maya Watkins ‘17, and most recently, Scott Traylor ‘18. have been gathering weekly over the summer with “Shut Up & Write” an international organization operating in 137 different countries. I started up a chapter in Northern Ohio 2 years ago (Cleveland, Shaker Heights, and Ohio City) and some of my students discovered me on meetup.com. These alumni have been joining us on a weekly basis to continue their writing and publishing passions.

You can find out more about the organization here:
https://shutupwrite.com/

Information on our chapter is available here (free to join):
